Position Summary
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at St. Catherine, you’ll provide hands-on, compassionate care that helps residents live with dignity, comfort, and independence. You’ll play a vital role in supporting daily needs, building meaningful relationships, and contributing to a safe, supportive, and homelike environment. Working under the direction of licensed nursing staff, you’ll assist residents with daily activities, monitor their well-being, and ensure each person receives respectful, person-centered care aligned with their individual care plan.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support
  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using safe practices and equipment
  • Support residents with meals and monitor intake as needed
  • Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs with compassion and respect
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
  • Take and record vital signs and assist with basic documentation
  • Support resident independence, choice, and daily routines
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • Follow care plans, safety guidelines, and infection control procedures
What We’re Looking For
  • Active CNA certification in the State of North Dakota (in good standing)
  • Compassionate, patient, and resident-centered mindset
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow care plans and clinical direction
  • Basic computer skills for electronic charting
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Work Environment
This role is based in a long-term care setting. You’ll work on your feet for most of the shift in close contact with residents, families, and team members. The environment is fast-paced, hands-on, and deeply team-oriented.

Physical Requirements (Summary)
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Assisting residents with mobility and transfers (with equipment/support as needed)
  • Ability to safely lift or assist residents up to 50–100 lbs with help or devices
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergencies
